Mattress Compatibility & Recommendations

The Loft-Bed Does Not Include A Mattress In The Price—But The Good News Is, You Have Options.

You won’t need a box spring. Any standard innerspring mattress, such as those from Sealy, Serta, or Simmons, works perfectly with this frame. We suggest using an 8" mattress for maximum headroom underneath, though any mattress between 8" and 12" thick fits just right.

Memory Foam Mattresses

Planning to use a memory foam mattress from brands like Tempur-Pedic or Zinus? You’ll want to make sure the mattress rests on a flat, supportive surface to prevent sagging between the slats.

We can help with that—just let us know if you’d like to add:

Two sturdy masonite boards, cut to fit your loft, for a smooth, flat base (available as an add-on).
Or upgrade to extra slats for more support beneath your mattress.

Both options ensure your memory foam mattress stays in tip-top shape and gives you the support you need. If ordering a mattress elsewhere, confirm the thickness and support requirements, especially if you’re leaning toward plush memory foam styles.

This upgrade is often chosen along with the staircase, which already includes open cubbies beneath each step for added storage. Just be sure to check the appropriate boxes when configuring your order, and we’ll make sure your staircase arrives ready for safe and easy access.

You can choose from five different firmness levels to suit your sleeping style, whether you like it soft and plush or prefer more support.

Mattresses can be conveniently added while building your bed order, or picked up separately if you prefer. By default, we send a Medium firmness option, but if you’d like it softer or firmer, just let us know in the Notes during checkout and we'll make sure your mattress matches your preference.

Note: Twin XL, Queen, and King sizes are all available, so you can customize your entire sleep experience—from frame to mattress.

Rush Production and Faster Delivery Options

If you're in a hurry to get your loft, we offer a Rush Production service. For an additional 0 per bed, your order will move to the front of the line and ship out within 15 business days. This option can significantly speed up delivery if you need your bed sooner than our standard timeline.

This turned out to be an awesome experience. I had to custom order the bed and Jonah called to confirm he understood what I wanted before they started to cut the lumber. A little nervous about it but they walked me through the dimensions etc before I ordered. I had a lot of questions regarding extra supports to buy and they were very patient and answered all my questions. In addition, I ordered expedited service and they were quick! The loft was delivered in 8 days. Awesome job.
